Partners International works with a number of locally led organizations whose focus is to see the people of the region be transformed. Our primary goal in South Asia is to reach out to the communities in addressing their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual and also the community at large. Our motivation is to love the community just as Christ loved us and demonstrate it in action. We are doing this through medical camps, leadership training, community development, small business models, self-help groups, etc.

The country that dominates South Asia is India, a nation diverse in language, religion, culture, and lifestyle. Though India has more than one billion Hindus, it is also the third largest Muslim country in the world with more than 160 million Muslims. India has about 4635 people groups and 1652 language groups. Nepal is predominantly Hindu, Sri Lanka is Buddhist, and Bangladesh is a Muslim nation. We have been partnering with local organizations in South Asia since the 1960s, and we continue to see amazing things God is doing in and through our efforts.

General Ministry Fund – South Asia

Partners International works with a number of locally-led ministries whose focus is to see the people of the region embrace Jesus Christ as Savior. Our primary strategies in South Asia involve evangelism and church planting in areas with few or no churches. We also focus on unreached populations such as high-caste Hindus and Muslims, as well as leadership training, community development, and outreach to women and children.
