Our strategy in the Middle East is to identify, coach, and invest in effective church-planting ministries that are committed to evangelism and discipleship of the region’s 143 million people. We also seek to strengthen these ministries and ensure their long-term sustainability through organizational and ministry development. Because of tremendous physical need coupled with a repressive religious environment, we emphasize holistic ministry (spiritual and physical).

The Christian Church was born in the Middle East, yet today Christians number only about five percent of the population. Western missionaries have often found it difficult to gain a foothold, and the Christian minority has been marginalized and persecuted for many years. Over the last two years, long-standing autocratic regimes have toppled. Influenced by social media and satellite television, young Muslims are boldly demanding change in both the political and religious arenas. They are increasingly concerned about human rights, democracy, the role of minorities, and the future for Muslim youth.

Bold ministries and churches willing to take the risks associated with evangelism in a Muslim context are seeing more Muslims come to faith in Christ than ever before. With your partnership, we believe their courage and faith will pave the way for a stronger and more relevant Middle Eastern Church in the years to come.
