Below are three testimonies from Fountain of Hope’s recent training. We hope you are encouraged through these testimonies.
Greetings, my name Noeun. I am 33 years old and have five siblings, two brothers and three sisters. I am married and have two children, a boy and a girl. As a person raised in the countryside I did not get the chance to complete school, so I only got to study until 4th grade. I could read and write adequately, but not great.
I came to know the Lord about five years ago when one of the Fountain of Hope (FOH) staff came to share the Good News in my village. The Lord worked in my heart and revealed himself to me in ways that I could not explain, and it led me to believe in Him. Coming to know Christ, I’m thankful that Fountain Of Hope equips me through biblical studies and cell church meetings.
I have also been encouraged and cared for through other programs that not only strengthen my spirit but meet my physical and emotional needs as well. Through the Life with Value training, I learned more about who I am in Christ. In the Our Strong Village training, I received greater understanding on how to use my own resources to support my family. These programs connected me to a network of people and wonderful relationships as we work together to support our families and the community.
I am thankful that God has chosen me to be a leader for my cell church as well. Through the trainings, God has led my faith to greater heights. Characteristically, God has shaped me into a more considerate person. I used to be involved in wasteful habits such as drinking and being in the company of wrong friends, and I was irresponsible in my duty as a husband and father. But, God transformed me and now I understand my responsibilities. I learned to take better care of my family as the Lord cares for His people in the community, and learned to better understand my relationship with my wife and realize her value.
I praise the Lord that God continues to shower blessings over my life. He has given me so much already. I have land that God continues to show me how to use in ways that glorify Him. He has blessed my family with health, we are rarely sick. God continues to give me and my family assurance of who He is in our lives.
Through this journey of faith, I am encouraged and have spent time sharing and praying over the people in my community, especially my cell church members. I am glad to be a witness of the Good News to the people around me. I am thankful to FOH and all its partners that continue to empower us through God’s biblical truth through gatherings like these leadership trainings, so that I may journey well in this life. Thank you! Many blessings to you.
Greetings, my name is Tith. I am 46 years old and a cell church leader. Since participating with the leadership training, I have received greater knowledge and my faith in the Lord is increasing.
I have gotten to know the Lord better and know and have felt in my heart that God is so ever present in my life as I serve my community. A lot has happened in my life and God is always in my midst. He has done great and wonderful things beyond my imagination. I am truly thankful that I am saved, and am confident in this truth. Now, I understand that God’s salvation is running through me to help the people in my community learn about Him.
The leadership training has equipped me to be a leader and understand God’s calling over my life. I have gained greater insights in the word of the Lord, and have learned new strategies to share the Gospel with the people. It is truly a blessing to have this leadership training; the Lord knows what I need and meets me where I am. As I am encouraged and strengthened, I will continue to share God’s message in my community.
I pray that God’s grace will continue to shower over me and other leaders in this community so that they may be filled with God’s goodness and wisdom as they bring others to Christ and build new leaders in their community. Amen.
Greetings, my name is Som. My wife, Savoeun, and I are both farmers and workers (wherever we are needed). But, the most important task that I have now is a leader to my cell church in my community.
I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior around 4 years ago, when one of the staff from Fountain of Hope came to share the Good News in my village. After I became a believer, I was encouraged to participate with biblical studies, so that I may gain a better understanding of Who I am following. Each week I would have questions about things that I learned, and God helped me through the teachers and group leaders. I gained revelation of who God is and how He is with me in this journey of life. I felt like I knew some things until I was chosen to be a cell church leader. There is a lot to learn when you are a leader. It is a great opportunity and a tough responsibility. But, thank God, He has given me grace, wisdom, and strength to do it.
I am truly thankful for the Leadership Training put on by one of the teachers from Fountain of Hope and its partners. The lessons gave me greater insight into the life of Jesus and who He is when He walked in this world. The life of Jesus truly impacted me, because as I see His life, I want to live like Him.
I used to be a very sensitive person and sometimes held grudges against people. Yet, because I have learned and seen the person of Jesus, I allowed God to transform me from the inside. The life of Jesus is so powerful that people around me began to wonder because of my changed attitude. Some even began to ask me, “What is wrong with you? You are different!” To my joy, it gave me wonderful opportunities to share the love of God with them. The leadership training has truly blessed me.
Furthermore, FOH continues to help us with knowledge to support our physical needs. I learned new skills and knowledge regarding agriculture and about health that allows my family to live well. Also, I help my cell church members by sharing what I learned, and they really appreciate that.
I am truly thankful to the Lord for Fountain of Hope and its partners that continue to bless us with different kinds of trainings. We are equipped and transformed through the word of the Lord. May the Lord bless you all. I pray that God will continue to empower us so that we can continue to be agents of His love in this community. I pray that I, my family, and cell church members be good examples to people here in this community. May the Lord protect and help us in hard times, so we can endure the way Jesus has done. I bless you all in the name of Jesus. Amen
