I am 55 years old and a staff member of Fountain of Hope (FOH). I want to give thanks to the Lord for the February training in Integrated Disciple Making Movement (IDMM). I have learned much from the training.
I will apply what I learned to my own disciple making. In fact, on March 3, I went to a nearby village and met a man name Nhan. I shared with him regarding the plan of God starting with creation, then brokenness with God, and then deliverance and restoration.
After I shared, the man was quiet and contemplative. He responded that he will take time and consider this. I will continue to meet with him and to pray for his family. Amen. God bless.
My name is Moum. I am 38 years old. I am married and have two children. I am a farmer and raise chickens. From the chicken raising, I can make the equivalent of $5.00 to $7.50 per day.
I rejoice to have participated in the different projects and trainings with FOH. I am interested in so many things: chicken raising, soap making, and the seed bank project. Participating in the chicken raising training has brought me so much experience. It has helped me to increase my sales, plus have an adequate source of food for my family. Seeing the success from this project, I am raising even more chickens to support my family. I hope others in my community participate in the trainings too.
Thank you to FOH and its partners for coming to teach me and my community about various projects. Please pray that my family will come to know the Lord through my example. May many come to know the Lord through these projects.
I’m Cham-oun, and I am 31. I am a cell church member and have been participating in the savings bank group with my cell church since 2017. I have also participated in other projects like vegetable gardening, seed bank, chicken raising, and literacy.
Before, I did not want to participate in the savings bank group because I thought I would lose the money that I had worked really hard for or I would get cheated. Yet, at the same time, I had various needs and had to borrow money from other people in my village and their interest rates were quite high.
One day I took a chance and learned more about the process of the Saving Bank. After knowing more about it, I discussed with my husband, and we decided to participate in the group.
Two months after joining, I needed money to buy bananas from the community to sell. I made a request to the group, and it was approved. I received the equivalent of $37.50 with low interest compared to other places. I was able to buy the bananas and sell them at a nice profit.
So now as I participate in this project facilitated by FOH, I realize it is a great initiative. Each member is accountable and the interest rate is reasonable.
Thank you FOH and its partners for the savings bank program. It has been a great support to all the members who participate in this group. Our livelihoods have all improved and each family in the group prospers. This outlet especially helps us resolve problems quickly.
My name is Phan. I am 49 and married with four children. I live in a remote area where there are only 8 families. Near our homes is a lake, but there is not enough water to use. Most families grow their own vegetables, and have to use water leftover from kitchen cleaning, shower, and hand washing to water the plants.
We praise the Lord that FOH’s staff came to share the Good News with us in this small village. I am thankful because all of the families here now believe in Jesus.
FOH and its partners also supported us with a vegetable gardening project. They helped us with our water problem, and we learned about many plants and received new seeds to improve our garden. Even though we live far from any village, we have vegetables from our own garden. We do not have to travel far to buy vegetables that use fertilizers and other chemicals. And our health has improved.
I am so thankful to the Lord for His provision. Thank you FOH and its partners for showing God’s goodness to us. May you be blessed in all that you do and for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. Amen.
Greetings, my name is Raem. I am 52 years old. Although I have been a believer for quite some time, I did not have a Bible. I had prayed for one for some time. After participating in FOH trainings, they saw that I did not have a Bible, so the team provided me with one.
Now, I am able to study and find out more about the Word of the Lord. I’m also learning more about praying to Jesus and He is answering my prayers. I am truly happy to be able to hold the living Word of the Lord and read it daily. My life is changing and my spirit is getting stronger. God’s words are truly food for my spirit, and I shall grow in life every day.
