Sastro was born in Central Java in a Christian home though he said: “it was more cultural Christianity than Christianity of the heart.” When he was 17, a fight at a soccer game landed him in the hospital. At that time, Sastro fully committed his life to the Lord and to full-time ministry. After Bible school, God gave Sastro a deep burden for church planting. He joined Sundanese Christian Fellowship in 1996 as a church planter serving among Muslim communities. Today he is SCF’s Executive Director.
