The current situation
The economic situation in Lebanon has been deteriorating drastically over the past few months, with families pushed into poverty and hunger. Things have only been made worse by the explosion that happened in Beirut on August 4. More than 200 people were killed, thousands more injured, and tens of thousands left homeless. Moreover, Lebanon is on the verge of famine.
How can you help?
- For those who are injured, have lost loved ones, or their homes, or jobs to receive the essential help they need.
- For the Lebanese Church to be Jesus’ hands and feet for their community at such trying times and to continue to be faithful witnesses for the Gospel.
- For the Lebanese people to take refuge in Christ not only in this turbulent time but ultimately for their eternal salvation.
Our Ministry Partner in North Africa, AWEMA, is planning an urgent visit to Lebanon to help the local churches provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support for both believers and the community.
Through your financial support, you can be part of this mission and help us reach more people in need. We are targeting 50 families impacted by the recent tragedy. Each $500 will help one family.
