Since the inauguration of the two-classroom school building on September of last year, the Board of Directors has been longing to visit the Békourou School again. During the General Assembly that was held this April, they decided to visit the school to see for themselves the work that was being done there with the new facilities. They talked with the students there, and one of them said:
My parents died before I entered secondary school. I was living in Moissala and I did not have money to pay for school fees or supplies. Then I was informed about the Bekourou High School, which was an Evangelical High School where one could benefit from Biblical instruction when admitted. I came, and Kawkikete agreed to enroll me for free. I benefited from the provided school supplies and reading manuals, as well as the mathematics manual. Every Tuesday and Friday we held Discovery Bible Studies to grow spiritually in the Lord. We want to say thank you to Partners International, and we pray for God to bless all of the donors and staff who are based in the US and Dakar.
Another pupil said:
We students of Békourou High School thank all of the donors and all of those working with Partners International for making this beautiful school building possible. Our elders studied in sheds and under trees, and they all succeeded. Some of them even became senior executives in the country. We have been privileged that God used Brother Rene to mobilize donors for this building project, and to supply us with hundreds of Bibles for Bible studies, as well as to fund the enrollment of orphans. We are so privileged to worship every Thursday, and to use our Bibles sent by Partners. We ask God to bless them all, as well as their respective families. “
