In September 2014, we started a learning center for migrant children. They can come to the center for lunch and a nap; then come to study after school in the afternoon. The students quickly feel the genuine care of the counselors and share with them when encountering any difficulty.
One 10-year-old boy was behaving badly when he first came. He was disobedient and would not mix with other children. After one month, he changed. He would follow the counselor’s instructions and play with others. Later, we found out that his parents have many issues in parenting. Therefore, we plan to offer parenting skill seminars this year.
