I received a precious gift on Mother´s Day. Did you pray that the young lady that I have written about would repent? She came to bring me some chocolate at 10pm on Mother´s Day. We talked about the meaning of baptism and marking the change and the covenant that happens when Jesus becomes the Lord of our lives. She said, “That´s why I cut off all my hair last week; I wanted to repent and mark the change.”
She made a long confession and renounced many things related to her old life. She asked if she could be sure Jesus would accept her apology and I asked her to read 1 John 1:9; “…the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.” She said, “Good, that´s what I need.”
She cried saying, “I´ve wasted so many years!” I told her, “Take the conviction in your heart right now and let it guide you to share with your friends so they don´t waste any more years. God can redeem the time.” She said, “Deal. You dip me and I´ll dip them.” At 2am I told her to get some sleep and that we would meet at the bathtub the following morning.
Neither of us could sleep from the excitement! At 8am she was up and ready. We invited a couple of ladies from the house church and they hurried over. When she came out of the water, she said, “I can see my old life in my mind, but it´s like that was somebody else. It´s like being born again.”
Praise be to God. Please keep this young lady in your prayers. God has great things in store for her life.
