Dear Friend,

Welcome to the Partners International Women website! We are so grateful that you have visited our site, and we'd love to share more about what is happening as we serve women in nations where they are most oppressed. We have the joy of partnering with visionary, strategic women leaders in some of the least developed nations and seeing lives and communities transformed as a result of this work!

Our ministry partners are committed to helping others through relationship and holistic outreach; that is, caring for the 'whole' person - physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. This focus is what we call the head, heart, health and hands of our women's ministry. The women leaders we partner with incorporate all four components into their outreach as they care for women and share with them the truth of who they were made to be. Under each category below (Head, Heart, Health, Hands), you'll find a specific example and relevant story of how women are being used to change lives and even alter history - one life, one home, one nation at a time.

Please jot us an email, or post a note at our blog. Share your experience, or even your aspirations for partnership so that together we may bring life, love and hope to those who are so precious in the eyes of Christ, our Savior - the women and children.

Warmly in Christ,

Here I am with a couple of our partner women in Sudan. These women are courageous, hard-working, and deeply committed to Christ. Want to know more? Check out this story from Sudan!

How We Started
For years, Partners International has recognized the unique role and significant contribution of women in ministry, in their homes, communities, and churches around the world. But at the same time, women have often been overlooked and not used to their full potential. For this reason, we launched Partners International Women in 2006 to empower women leaders among our ministry partners to reach out more effectively through counseling, Bible studies, evangelism, and prayer. In this way, the Church will be strengthened and women will become all Christ intended them to be.

How We Work
Partners International Women ministers to women around the world in the following ways:

"Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life" (Proverbs 4:23). Together with our partners, we provide opportunities for women leaders to strengthen their own hearts in the Lord, and to develop tools to serve women in their regions including prayer, worship, Bible teaching, and more!

In March 2008 Partners International Women joined with our Vietnam ministry partner to bring more than 50 Vietnamese Christian women together for a time of healing. The five-day trauma conference helped each participant see how valuable she is to the Lord. >> Read More

Daily worship, Bible studies, sharing, and prayer worked together to heal their wounds. Toward the end of the course, one woman, Lop, testified, "When I was born, I gradually came to learn that no one loved me. The whole family expected and wanted a boy. Life was terrible...until three years ago when a worker in my factory shared Christ with me and I was saved. I know now that Jesus loves me and cares for me. Not only that, He gave me a husband and son. In this trauma class, I was allowed to remember my past. I had so many wounds that had never healed. I dared not touch them. But in these days, I could share openly, I could cry, and the Lord healed me. Praise the Lord."

Another woman shared about how difficult it has been since her husband's arrest. "I have been a believer for seven years. My husband was arrested a year ago and is now in prison. He is a lawyer who spoke up to protect Christians who were being persecuted. Many people in the church criticized my husband as not being wise, and they criticized me... I was very hurt. I was alone during this time and couldn't trust anyone. I did not want to see nor talk to anyone, not even to God. I tried, but I could no longer believe that God had a good plan for my life. I had to force myself to trust in Him. I give thanks to God for those who came to pray for me and to encourage me through this class. I have warmed up with the love from all of you. I need you. Please pray for me."
