Home Safe and Sound, But Never the Same

Our entire team has been home for more than one week now. Our sleep patterns and other equilibrium matters are largely returning to a normal state. But there is no returning to "normal" now that we have seen, tasted, touched, and heard the remarkable and life-changing events from our recent PI Women trip to India and Bangladesh.

We want to thank you for your faithful prayers for us and our ministry partners in India and Bangladesh! And we would like to ask that you don't stop praying simply because we've returned to the USA. Our understanding of partnership is forever changed, so our prayer is that God will increase our capacity to partner in every sense of the word -- with our time, our talents, and our treasures so that little girls like the Bengali girls pictured above will continue to "Stop the Traffick" for themselves and generations to come!

The Transformational Transaction of Partnership

Partnership is one of my greatest joys. It has shaped my life and ministry through many profound relationships with women and men who demonstrate undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ. Partnership is God’s idea, and as we commit our partnerships to Him, the transaction of partnership transforms us from glory to glory!

Our world is forever changed, now that we've seen it through the eyes of a Bengali girl.

Thank you so very much for your faithful prayers for our South Asia PIW team. We have many praises to share with you, starting with the following:

Praises:

We requested prayer for enthusiasm, effectiveness, and endurance and God so abundantly answered.

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3).

Each encounter, whether in the village, slum, city, or training session, has changed our lives forever. We only pray that Christ's imprint through our teaching and time together will also increase our partners' faith and strengthen their ministries!

"For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours" (Romans 1:11-12).

We left India today at 6:30 a.m. and arrived at our guesthouse in Bangladesh at 8:30 p.m., mostly due to extreme traffic. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims are arriving from around the world for a weekend Hajj, second only to Mecca! God knew...even if we didn't!

Praises:

Everyone on the team is healthy again.

Closing ceremonies of the health (Ila Swick) and counseling (Dr. David Carson) seminars in Hyderabad were a tremendous encouragement to all! Testimonies from participants indicated they were most grateful for these tools.

Young women trainees from Orissa performed a drama, song, and dance from Women in the Window. Their commitment to follow Christ in spite of personal sacrifice is quite humbling and challenging to our American team.

Partners International Women hopes that you will join us for our 3rd annual Spring Luncheon on Thursday, March 1, 2012.

In most nations of the world, even today, women are despicably treated simply because they are women. Partners International Women is making a difference in their lives at both the grassroots and bureaucratic levels. Our keynote speaker for this year's annual Spring Luncheon is Dr. Sandra Bunn-Livingstone, who represents human and women's rights on the international level.

From Kim Kerr to You

Kim Kerr, Director of women's ministry

Welcome to Partners International Women, where we join together with women leaders serving in some of the hardest places in our world today, and together embrace the hope that Christ died to bring us. As a result of this Good News, the best news ever, we can overflow with hope in what would otherwise seem the most hopeless of situations.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13 (NIV)

In Christ's Love and Mine,
