Revolution in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya. Earthquake in Japan. A new nation—South Sudan. Famine in Somalia and Kenya. even in the midst of drastic change, God remained constant in His work to draw people into his kingdom throughout the hard places.

Last year, our news channels were flooded with significant, world-changing events, from revolutions to disasters.

A sole Tunisian man sparked political revolution in his country that spread like wildfire throughout North Africa and the Middle East. Since then, young Egyptians, Libyans, Syrians, Yemenis, and many others have flooded the streets of their cities, calling for change. In March, Japan was rocked by a massive earthquake and tsunami that cost the lives of thousands. In July, after decades of conflict, Sudan was separated into two distinct countries—Sudan and South Sudan. During the summer, the worst drought in three generations ravaged the Horn of Africa, leading millions of Somalis and Kenyans to the brink of starvation. 

Yet, in all of these places, and more, we have seen God’s Spirit at work. With your partnership, God’s love has been put dramatically on display in some of the most difficult places in the world at some of the darkest moments in people’s lives.

Because of you and your sacrificial gifts, prayers, and service, the lost and destitute around the world have found new hope in Jesus Christ.
