Learn how shipments of medicines and supplies help our partners reach their communities with the love of Christ.
Through our Gifts In Kind program, sea containers of life-saving medicine, supplies, and medical equipment are shipped to our partners who operate medical outreaches. Each shipment is valued from $300,000 up to $1,000,000 or more, but the cost to fill and ship each container is just two to five percent of the value of the container. Since 2001, we have sent nearly $39 million worth of goods to our partners. Here’s how it works.
1. A specialized donor, such as a pharmaceutical company in America or Europe, arranges with Partners International to provide life-saving medicines and medical supplies to partners with medical ministries. These supplies are carefully packed into a shipping container to go overseas.
2. Our donor partners (like you!) provide the money necessary to actually ship the container of medicines and supplies. Because of the high value of the shipment, your donation multiplies about 32 times in terms of what each dollar directly achieves.
3. Our ministry partners receive the shipment and put it to work right away, providing relief for suffering people and creating opportunities to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
