Partners International is led by an executive team, board of directors, and a team of regional experts stationed throughout the world. Read more about them below.
Larry D. Andrews joined Partners International as President/CEO in February 2013. He was born and raised in northern California, and comes from a big family of three brothers and two sisters. He attended California State University, Sacramento where he studied Business Operations Management and Management Information Systems, and spent more than a little time playing football. After his undergraduate studies were complete, he attended California State University, Chico where he completed his MBA.
After college, Larry joined the Procter & Gamble Company where he was part of their IT organization for 17 years. When Procter & Gamble outsourced most of their IT functions to Hewlett-Packard, Larry followed, working there for the next 10 years. At HP, he served in an operational leadership role for a team of more than 3,600 people in 20 countries. In this role, he achieved all-time highs in customer satisfaction, revenue, operational excellence, and operating profits.
"In December 2011, the Lord spoke to me and said that 2012 was going to be a transition year," Larry said. "It had been on my heart for a while to retire from the corporate world and fulfill a deeper calling to serve the Lord more fully. I see this opportunity with Partners International as a divine calling, one for which He has been preparing me for 30 years. I believe He will use it to bless me, my family, the Partners International organization, our ministry partners, our donors, and our Lord Jesus. I am humbled and privileged to be called to serve alongside you."
Since receiving Christ as a senior in college, Larry has served in a number of leadership, teaching, and outreach roles with his local church. He has also ministered as a volunteer leader with Promise Keepers, Financial Peace University, and Setting Captives Free, among others. Larry and his wife Bethanne have four children—James, Timothy, Rebekah, and Jonathan.
Carlos grew up in war-torn El Salvador. As a young man, he served as a youth pastor at his church, Iglesia Nazaret, led at the time by Argentinean Luis Bush who later became the President of Partners International and director of the AD2000 movement.
After completing his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, Carlos returned to El Salvador where he coordinated Mission '84, the first international missions conference in Central America. This conference helped spark a missionary movement across South America.
After marriage, Carlos and his wife returned to Texas where they both earned masters degrees to qualify them to move to Turkey where they served as leaders of a church-planting team among Muslims. This proved to be an invaluable experience for his future role with Partners International as Area Director for the Middle East and North Africa. He served in this role from 1991 to 2006.
Currently, Carlos serves as Vice President of International Ministries directing the work of our 52 indigenous ministry partners in 37 countries.
A native of Seattle, Washington, Phil Chinn has served with Partners International for nearly 25 years. In the 1980s, Phil served as the Elder of Missions for South Hills Community Church, during which time he met Allen Finley, the first president of Partners International, and later Luis Bush who succeeded him. It was Luis who first encouraged Phil to go into full-time ministry. Phil joined Partners International as the Director of Church Mobilization in 1989, working with over 600 churches across the United States. Currently, Phil serves as Partners’ Vice President of Development. Previous to Partners, Phil worked for IBM as a Systems Analyst for 11 years then later joined Tymshare as their Palo Alto District Marketing Manager. Phil’s passion is to see people in the least Christian regions of the world have an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. He and his wife JoAnn have two sons and five grandchildren.
Connie joined Partners International in October 2009 as a Financial Analyst. She was born in Long Beach, CA, and spent her childhood growing up with her two brothers in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. Connie has been married to her high school sweetheart, Richard, for more than 20 years and they share their home with Snowy, a miniature American Eskimo dog. Connie has more than 24 years of business experience in both a corporate and non-profit work environment. Her business experience includes financial/data analysis, human resources, financial accounting and process improvement with companies such as McDonnell Douglas, Frito-Lay, Inc., Northwest Nazarene University, and Sterling Savings Bank. Since receiving Christ as a child, Connie has served in a number of leadership roles within her church. This includes serving as Nazarene Youth International President, church treasurer, and board member. Connie currently serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration overseeing the finance, human resources, information technology, gift processing, and facilities areas of the organization.
Our efforts in each of nine regions of the least Christian world are led by an Area Director, an expert in the people, culture, politics, and religion of that region. Based throughout the world in places like Cambodia, Senegal, and Singapore, Area Directors have "on the road" jobs, working alongside our indigenous ministries to develop strategies, set goals, and find the most effective solutions to problems.
Our Area Directors are extremely knowledgeable about Christian ministries for the parts of the world in which they serve and have a wide array of expertise serving as pastors, missionaries, businessmen, and mission leaders.
Their goal, with careful planning and prayer, is to work alongside our partners to see God's Kingdom expanded in the least Christian regions.
