Overview

For the past 64 years, Partners International has operated from the belief that across the globe there are Christian nationals who have powerful ideas and effective approaches to reach their own people with the gospel. We work to identify such leaders of vision and integrity and partner with them to advance God's kingdom in the least Christian regions of the world. Respecting their vision and gifts, we resource them, strengthen the impact of their programs, and expand their reach so that the Church can thrive and multiply in the hard places.

Our partners are local Christians who have a visionary passion to share God's love with their own people and with nearby unreached people groups. Our partners speak the language. They understand the culture. They live at the same economic level as the people they serve. And they are willing to face persecution, imprisonment, and even death. We are privileged to partner with these brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our key strategy to growing the church in the least Christian regions is holistic witness, which means to reach out to the "whole" person, alleviating human suffering and opening the door to the gospel.

It acknowledges that spiritual need and physical need are symptoms of the same problem, and remedied by the same solution: the transforming power of the gospel and its Kingdom values. Holistic witness takes place whenever Christians care for the needs of others as an expression of God's love. Providing medical care, clean water, disaster relief, agricultural development, and other compassionate assistance demonstrates the love of God and leads to the start of new churches.
